Today we celebrate Loralei Gorzalka as she was voted as our K-6 student of the month! Here is what her nominating teacher had to say about her: I believe Loralei Gorzalka deserves to be student of the month because she acts as a leader for younger students. When she is in class with younger students she acts as a positive role model. She follows directions, participates, and encourages others. If a younger student is not following an expectation, she encourages them to stay on task in a polite way. She offers to help in any way she can. When a classmate was distressed, Loralei tried to soothe them and alerted the teacher to what was happening. I can count on her to complete tasks in a timely manner and stay on task. Thank you, Loralei, and congratulations again!

Please join us in celebrating our September 7-12 student of the month, Abbie Odegard! Here is what Abbie's nominating teacher had to say about her: "If you were to look up the definition of leader in the Webster's dictionary, odds are you would find Abbie’s name in there. She leads not only by what she does and how she lives her life, but she carries herself like a leader naturally. She is enrolled in multiple college courses, which shows grit and determination, as well as a drive to better herself every day. She has been a tremendous role model for all other students, and she is involved in multiple after-school activities and multiple school clubs. On top of all this, Abbie has maintained a GPA of 4.0 OR BETTER for multiple years in a row. Please consider Abbie Odegard for the student of the month as she is more than deserving." Congratulations, Abbie, and thanks for all you do!

Today in 5th grade, our young scholars sharpened their observation and analyzing skills by studying two different portraits. With keen eyes and thoughtful minds, they explored details, colors, and emotions for a compare and contrast paragraph. The discussions were filled with insights and creativity! #PantherClaw

7th grades just finished up their fire starting unit in O.R.E.O. In this unit they learn how you start fires using various materials, but are assessed on using magnesium bars. As you can see, Callie was VERY excited to get hers lit so fast! Just another of the many great courses that are offered to our great students. #PantherClaw
