Joyful for great partnerships this morning. Today we have a fully equipped weight room thanks to the support of #SheridanCollege! As we are now offering concurrent enrollment weight lifting courses the college was able to assist in renewing our facility. It'll be ready for students on Monday! #180DaysOfJoy

Greg Rohrer is in the Panther Spotlight this week! Mr. Rohrer has had his busiest month of the year in August completing state reports, lining out our budget, and ensuring that the district is in good financial shape. In addition to this, he has been instrumental in serving a number of excellent meals for our staff as they prepared for the year. These past few days he has been busy preparing the concessions stand to serve the community as we jump into our activities for the year. Thanks, Mr. Rohrer!

Remi Cooper in in the Panther Spotlight this week! Remi actively participates in her learning. Remi is very kind-hearted and willing to do anything you put in front of her even if it is challenging. Remi is always so sweet and kind! Remi showed me how to do a sweet cartwheel and dared me to do one too. She's a lot better than me! Remi is a joy! Remi is such a joy to have in class! She has the perfect balance of respectfulness and sass all in one package. Thanks for being a great student, Remi! Remi is a sweet young lady who tries her hardest and is always happy! Always shares a smile.

Jonah Ambler is in the Panther Spotlight this week! Teachers had this to say about Jonah: Jonah is a student who has a high drive to demonstrate strong proficiency in all academic areas. He enjoys being a learning leader in the classroom. Jonah was a workhorse this week and completed all his work this week. Jonah seeks a challenge. Jonah is a hard working student with a fantastic sense of humor. He helps to support his classmates whenever he gets an opportunity. Jonah has really stepped up this year as an 8th grader. Always performing to the best of his abilities and doing what needs to be done. Jonah’s imagination is impressive.

Extra post for the day - made it back to school this afternoon just in time to catch some active learning. Students digging in and learning science. Excellent to see all involved and enjoying high level learning. #180DaysOfJoy

Today, I was able to participate in a great training on the McKinney-Vento Act protecting youth in transition. I am certain that you have seen these posters hanging around the school and town; however, please take a moment to read through. Michelle Campos is in the Panther spotlight this week. Michelle has been working hard in the classroom and on the court! She is taking college courses to challenge herself. In VB, her coach cites increased confidence and great ability.

Trinity Carmichael is our spotlighted Panther this week! Teachers had this to say about her: Trinity is a passionate learner and full of life. I always see her with a smile on her face and ready to take on the day! Trinity has brought joy and laughter to the 5th grade this year. She has worked hard for the first week of school and I look forward to seeing her growth! Trinity always has a smile on her face and a friendly greeting!!!! Trinity is fun to be around!

Stefhanie Buhr is ending a 17 year stint of service to A-C. She will be missed by students and staff alike. #180DaysOfJoy

Finished working with our secondary students today to ensure that they are prepared for our literacy step up this year - look at all that green! The work our students put in to make this the situation in which we find ourselves - terrific. #180DaysOfJoy
